Teaching Methodology

Sunbeam adopts ‘Activity Based Learning’ to improve the comprehension level of the students. This includes the use of multimedia in teaching subjects, conducting exhibitions related to each subject, and establishing forums for Tamil, English, etc.…

The school applies collaborative, participative, and active learning methods such as discussions, projects, quizzes, and curriculum-based projects work to stimulate higher-order thinking skills. A variety of reading and writing strategies are used by qualified teachers to enhance these skills.

Sunbeam has been a forerunner in bringing technology into the classroom. State-of-the-art audio- visual equipment like smart boards and overhead projectors are used to improve the quality of curriculum delivery and learning among students. Fully equipped computer labs serve to build ICT skills in students, which is a necessity today to compete on the global platform.

Sunbeam strictly implements a “No Homework Policy” for Classes I and II.

Sunbeam trains the Children to value their Traditions, respect their Elders, obey the Teachers and cultivate Friendship with fellow Students.

Sunbeam continuously strives to inculcate the best Academic practices in an effort to create a benchmark for an ideal Teaching-learning Environment conducive in making learning a Joyful Activity.

The focus is on the Environment both within the classroom and without, which makes Learning an exploration in which Teachers and Students collaborate and there is ample scope for Questioning, Debating, and Hands-on Activities for Learners.

This will help a great deal for the Students to come to grips with the knowledge they generate through guided activities.

We, at Sunbeam, believe in 4C’s which prepares the Students to face 21st-century challenges.  4C’s include Confidence, Communication Skills, Creativity and Compassion.
